Yes. UniHosted has supported managed UniFi OS Server Hosting since March 1, 2026.

UniFi OS Server is Ubiquiti's self-hostable platform for running the UniFi Network application with features such as Organizations, IdP integration, Site Magic SD-WAN, UniFi Identity, and multi-site control through Site Manager.

With UniHosted, you can run UniFi OS Server in the cloud with managed deployment, automatic backups, monitoring, and global regions. Protect, Talk, and Access still require supported UniFi hardware; UniFi OS Server focuses on Network and core OS features.

Can I use my own custom domain with UniHosted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. UniHosted supports custom domains on paid plans.

To set it up, create a CNAME record at your DNS provider that points your subdomain (for example unifi.yourdomain.com) to the UniHosted hostname shown in your dashboard (for example m1234.unifi.unihosted.com). Once the DNS record is in place, add the domain in the UniHosted dashboard under your server's Domains section.

UniHosted will automatically validate the domain and provision an SSL certificate for you. If you're using Cloudflare, make sure the proxy (orange cloud) is disabled, as UniHosted needs direct access to manage SSL.

DNS changes may take some time to propagate. Always use a CNAME record, not an A record.

UniHosted is a Dutch company. Choose Nuremberg for a controller hosted by Hetzner in Germany. Paid plans include daily backups; Free does not include backups. Confirm backup locations and data-processing terms with us for your requirements.
