The catch? Their prices are steep - starting at a whopping $99 monthly, with no free plan available. This is only feasible for a limited amount of established businesses.

HostiFi offers a straightforward pricing structure, dividing its services into different packages, starting at $99 monthly for 250 devices.

This means that if you only have one device, it will set you back $99 monthly.

HostiFi does have three pricing plans. The only differentiating factor between the plans is the number of devices that can be added:

The custom plan, mainly focused on enterprises, includes integrations and invoice payments.

The issue with the pricing is not only that it's expensive to start with ($99 monthly), but the gap between the plans is big.

Let’s say you are currently hosting 250 devices and thus paying $99 monthly, and if you scale this to 300 devices, you’ll be paying $250. This is almost $3000 per year.

UniHosted: A better alternative

UniHosted is a UniFi cloud hosting player that manages your UniFi controller in the cloud. It provides the same high-quality service as HostiFi but at a considerably lower cost, making it an attractive alternative.

UniHosted serves many customers, from individual users (on the free plan) to IT service providers seeking an affordable yet scalable solution for their networks.

UniHosted has a different pricing structure. You only pay for the number of devices that you use. This prevents you from being upgraded to an expensive plan when you reach a certain threshold. If you add more devices, your monthly costs will move gradually with it.

UniHosted stands out by offering its services at approximately one-third of the costs of HostiFi (especially if you only have a small number of devices).

Also, UniHosted is the only cloud-hosted solution that provides a free plan. You can use the service for free and only upgrade to a paid version when it suits you.
